Top Tips for a Better Wedding Day | Tip #8

Your wedding day can feel somewhat hectic; there are a lot of things happening, some of them in a relatively short period of time, and the expectations are always staying high.

More from a 'general day-run’ point-of-view, but also from the wedding photography-related point-of-view, the ideas and pointers in our Top Tips for a Better Wedding Day series, would help you - brides, grooms and other wedding planners - to enjoy a better, smoother, wedding day.

Top Tip #8: Keep each other in the loop

As opposed to ‘real surprises’ - where the bride/groom creating some fun show or activity that the other person or the guests don’t know about, to prevent ‘general surprises’, as in – moments where the bride or groom not even knowing that part X/Y/Z is supposed to happen - try to plan the wedding day and the schedule together with your fiancé or fiancée, or if that doesn’t work out, at least keep each other in the loop, as per the final plan.

Even if sometimes one side might not seem too interested in caring or knowing too much about any part of, or the full plan – try to share at least the main structure of the wedding day; what comes before what, and approximately when each part should start and end. That way both sides would be aware of what’s coming up, and it’ll be easier for them to get themselves and everybody around, to cooperate accordingly.

Don't be afraid of asking your wedding party to help you running the show. They are there for you!
